Hi, my name is Martha Walker, and I am a mother of three beautiful blessings. My children names are Melanie (14), Noah (7), and Nylah (3). I hold a Bachelors degree in Organizational Management from Calumet College of Saint Joseph (Whiting, IN) and an MBA from Purdue Northwest (Hammond, IN). I am currently working on receiving a second Masters Degree to become a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I belonged to the AME Zion church for most of my life; however, currently I am a member of Faithmovers Church in University Park, IL. Under the leadership of Pastor Moses B. Herring. I have an extensive background in coaching and mentoring as a Cheerleading coach and I am a very proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
As a young child, being a victim of sexual abuse by the hands of a family member was something that I thought would be the end of me. Growing up trying to mask the fact that I was different was exhausting and weighed on my confidence as being worthy. When I thought that God left me unprotected and didn’t care about me, I was quickly reminded that He in fact got me through my darkest days and nights. During the pandemic of Covid-19, as I was doing some soul searching, I decided to obey God and trust what he has in store for me. I went to counseling and FOUND MY CROWN! I am different because of God’s love and His never failing grace. I am a living testimony that your past does not define you or your royalty.
God put The Titus Woman on my heart because there are so many women in the world who are just like me. My prayer is that The Titus Woman organization will play a positive role in every woman finding her crown. Please take a moment to explore our page and see what we are doing in the community, I pray it blesses you. If I could leave you with this one thought, “And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” (Luke 1:45) Be still and listen, He is speaking.
